Silly iOS/Android racing/car building game. I’ve been playing this thing for a month or so and have built up a nice little S30 Z. There isn’t as much support documentation as I’d like, so I don’t know which cars to toss and how to properly upgrade parts.
I’m not going to spend any money on this game, so the upgrades are getting fewer and farther between, and my interest is waning. Will this drop off the radar, or are there tweaks coming up to keep me playing?

Yeah, that’s what I figured. I’m pretty good at that. I have an S2000 that’s 5+ stars that I was driving all the time but then started getting a bunch of S30s. The Honda was up to some ridiculous level but I wasn’t getting any additional cars to upgrade it. With a ton of S30s I’m up to 6++ stars which I believe is the max which probably means I can sell all of the 3, 4, and 5 star cars sitting around. Now I have to drive it to max it out, but the fuel cost is killing me in comparison to the S2000.

Lol I got an R32 gtr in the first couple of days and have been combining the “demon” 240z’s until they are 6 stars and sell them enough for another r32

I finally got around to playing this on your advice. Is the whole game literally just tapping and holding when the car is in the zone? I don’t understand why I would keep playing.

I’m not sure that what I wrote originally could be construed as a recommendation as it was more of a comment about how I was hooked on this game (and still am, to be honest) and was just trying to figure it out. It’s less of a driving game more of a garage simulation, and that’s the part in which I find the most pleasure; there is a backstory to it, but that is of lesser interest to me. Yes, the driving is dumbed-down a bit, but that gives you a chance to enjoy the scenery a bit more and worry less about raw skill. It is a bit goofy with all of the rules for upgrading and the different currencies (gold, CP, VP, tickets, etc.) involved, but mastering that is part of the fun.
If you’re looking for a proper driving sim this really isn’t the game for you. If you like building up cars and seeing how the changes affect performance and the compromises involved in those decisions, albeit in a simplified way, you might enjoy it. Since there is a random element to what parts and cars you receive, there is a little gambling element to it somewhat like a slot machine, but instead of just virtual coins we get the stuff of petrol head dreams, namely cars and parts. For me it also brings back good memories of the time that I first discovered Initial D manga at a bookstore. It’s also a nice little occasional diversion, and sometimes that’s what is needed during a hectic day.

Awesome :) I see how it could be appealing. Depends what you want from the game I guess. Thanks!
